For over 30 years laser therapy has been used to successfully treat a variety of medical conditions in humans. We are excited to be able to provide the same benefits to your pets.
Laser therapy is a complimentary therapy treatment to be used in conjunction with conventional veterinary medicine. This non-invasive procedure uses a laser light to safely penetrate the skin, muscles, tendons, and ligaments stimulating energy flow an promoting healing within.
Laser therapy can be used to treat a variety of medical conditions, by providing an alternative solution to pain management. Conditions most often treated are:
- · Acute and Chronic Pain
- · Back Injuries
- · Sprains and Strains
- · Inflammation and Edema
- · Wound Healing
After you have discussed how laser therapy can help your pet, treatments can be scheduled. The laser does not cause a strong sensation so your pet does not need to be restrained or sedated. Protective eye gear will be provided for everyone present during the procedure. All treatments are performed by a trained technician in a comfortable setting. During treatment, the laser probe is placed on the area requiring treatment, and laser light is emitted to deliver the correct therapeutic dosage. Most treatments last approximately 15-20 minutes depending on the area being treated and the size of the animal. Multiple sessions are recommended although your pet should show results within 24 hours after treatments.
