Dr. Amy Hille
Dr. Amy Hille is a 2001 Kansas State graduate. She moved out to Oregon to accept an internship at Dove Lewis immediately after veterinary school. Her other accolades include a Master’s in Public Health and board certification in Preventive Medicine and Public Health. Coming from an emergency medical background she has found that her real passion is the relationship built with clients and their pets, as well as challenging medical cases and dentistry. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her son who has an affinity for video games and the clarinet and attending her daughter’s horse competitions where she is a competitive jumper. Dr. Hille is excited to join the Sorrento Animal Hospital family and we are overjoyed to have her skills added to our already outstanding staff.
Dr. Derek DeRose
Dr. Derek DeRose graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. He practiced in Southern California for 3 years before moving to Oregon in 2001, and has practiced in the Beaverton/Tigard area ever since. He greatly values the importance of educating clients about their pets health needs, and building a strong relationship with each and every client. His special interest are canine and feline dentistry. Dr. DeRose lives in Beaverton with his wife, 2 children and 4 cats. He enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and the outdoors.
Dr. Patti Smith
Dr. Patti Smith graduated from Colorado State University Veterinary School in 2000. Her professional special interests are feline behavior, geriatric patients, internal medicine cases and dermatology. In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy traveling, spending time with their 8 cats and 4 dogs, attending history lectures, photography and scuba diving. She volunteers with several local dog and cat shelters and rescue groups.
